I want to make everyone aware that we do have some COVID cases with students who have attended camp. A student from the frumpet section attended the first day but has missed since and two students have returned to camp after missing the beginning because they had tested positive before camp. They both stayed away the required 5 days after testing positive then an additional day or two just to be safe. i am hearing today that there are more cases...only one has contacted me that they are positive and another is concerned she has it though has so far tested negative. I'm hearing through the Band app that there may be more. We did spend all but the first 40 minutes outside on Friday. If you have tested positive, do not come to camp and please let me know directly through my email at steveadams@smsd.org.

Tomorrow, we will meet outside at the start of rehearsal and find out what the situation actually is and make a decision about continuing and how we will continue, based on that. I would suggest that if students need to go in the band room in the morning, to wear a mask and keep distanced while you get your equipment to go outside.
