Three cheers for Ilan Khalil for his major role in "Godspell" produced by South's theater department! The guy acted, sang, danced....and even pulled out his clarinet for the start of the second half! Belle Mayne made a fun cameo in the show!

Tanner Wilson (junior trombonist) shared with me a very cool event that will be both fun and informative focused on a very important subject. I asked him to write a message to share with you about the event. Thanks for doing this, Tanner!
Hi everyone, I have a fun event that you guys can do on June 18. The event is for an organization that is dedicated to spreading awareness of teenage depression and suicide, ending the negative stigma around mental health, and offering ways that teens like you can either help someone suffering or recognize it in ourselves. The event is called Passport Cruise. Essentially, it's a bunch of stops that you go to around Paola and Louisburg with activities at each stop. Some of the activities include stops at a few farms with awesome animals, the Louisburg Cider Mill, and a lavender farm....just to name a few! To participate in the event, you will need to register on ShiftingGears2022.eventbrite.com for a "passport" which starts at $30. Check-in begins at 10:30 AM at the Louisburg Cider Mill located at 14730 HWY, Louisburg. This would be a great event to do with friends or family! Hope to see you there!
