Call it Turkey Brain! The last message was originally posted as saying the concert was this Tuesday. It is Wednesday! I've updated the original. Thanks to those who called my attention to it!
Thank you to everyone for a wonderful Winter Concert and all the activities connected to it! I only wish I could have tried more of the chili/soup options! The spread was amazing! Most of the uniforms came in last night-thanks to Amy and her crew for all of their work to collect them. All three bands really played well. That is a lot of music to learn in a short time but you guys were up for the challenge! Thank you and congratulations to Sky Thao for his wonderful arrangement that was premiered last night! And a huge thanks to everyone for contributing 1642 dollars to the Raiders Helping Raiders fund. Another record...a record of generosity! That is before we add the 1000.00 dollars that the Class of '69 sent us for the fund! Here is all the info people involved in District need for Saturday’s rehearsal and performance. Dress-dress comfortably for the rehearsals. Some people wear their concert gear all day but many bring a change of clothes. For the concert, you have a couple of options-you can wear our concert look, black on black, or you can wear a suitable dark jacket and tie/mid-length or longer dress. Don’t be a fashionista. We want people focused on your music not your look. If questions, ask someone who has done it before. OK, here is the info form letter that was sent out……… KANSAS MUSIC EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION East Central DISTRICT HONOR BANDS East Central District Band Members: November 19, 2019 Congratulations on being selected as a member of the 2019 KMEA East Central District Honor Band!
